Advantages: Hybrid Theory and Meteora

Disadvantages: Everything released after Meteora

Linkin Park 'were' one of the greatest bands id ever heard. Releases such as Hybrid Theory and Meteora really entertained me and i never got bored of them. Then however, i have no idea what happened, its as if they just sold out. They became less heavy and more R'n'B-y if that makes any sense. Reanimation and Minutes To Midnight were just terrible! Songs like Papercut and Breaking The Habit really brought Linkin Park into the world of nu-metal, then the 2 latest albums chucked them right out of it again. I understand that Chester Benningtons voice couldnt really handle the more growly screamy voice he used to have, but they still could have been hardcore without it. Im not saying that Linkin Park are bad, im just saying that since the release of Reanimation, i have really gone off them. Afterwards, finding out they released and album with Jay-Z and a single with Busta Rhymes, just tore me heart apart. They were so good, yet ruined it.

Ok, first of all this is off the subject, but Avenged Sevenfold Kicks ass! On the other hand there has never been any point in time where the the teeny bopper band Linkin Park could ever be placed anywhere near a decent band. They sould like children. The one singer has a somewhat potential voice, but sticking with that rapper wannabe will get him nowhere. I am an open minded person when it comes to music as my whole life has revolved around literally thousands of bands, but LP are far too over rated.

Yeah I totally agree, their first 2 album where very good, then they went on to do stuff with Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes which isn’t very metal like.
