Advantages: A fantastic day, good crowd, brilliant music

Disadvantages: Better sound system needed

Linkin Park have been my favourite band now for many years and I have always wanted to see them live. Last time they toured the UK I was heavily pregnant so wasn't able to attend. When I heard the annoucement they were to do a one off gig in Milton Keynes in June 07 I was so excited. Not only is MK just down the road from me they were going to collaborate with Jay-Z who is also one of my favourite artists.

The concert was at the Milton Keynes bowl which I have been to numerous times before so I knew what to expect. There were about 5 different acts on before Linkin Park.

When Linkin Park came on stage the atmosphere in the bowl was brilliant.

They sang several tracks from several of their albums. Chesters singing was spot on and he has a real spine tingling voice. They did a couple of acoustic style tracks too including one about the floods in America and these were also very high quality.

After their set finished they came back for an encore and preformed several songs with Jay-Z from the Collision Course album.

The concert was brilliant. The only downside I found was as we were quite near the back of the bowl the sound wasn't as loud as I would expect at this style of concert. I have been to many concerts at the bowl and I think they had the weakest system.

Although this didn't effect the concert as such I do think a better, louder system would have made the concert even better as you did at times especially on the accoustic track lose the atmosphere at the back.

Can't wait for them to tour in the UK again.
