LUDACRIS PRESENTS DISTURBING THA PEACE - 'Golden Grain' - Def Jam South 2002 On paper Golden Grain has all the right ingredients to render itself as one of hip hop’s most fashionable albums. Country-checked rap is still slipping through regional borders and onto an unrestricted stage, and Ludacris, despite what the no-brains at Pepsi think, continues with an almost Jigga-like thirst for output. Plus he’s brought some pals along this time round – very fashionable, given Eminem’s D12 and Nelly’s St Lunatics allegiances have quickly been reinforced on the back of a solo stint.
