Disadvantages: Ticket rip-off

There is only one Madonna and so me and my girlfriend tried to be a little bit sneaky and instead of lining up outside Earl's Court for tickets we checked the online booking website at www.eco.co.uk. Firstly, the website was playing up and it took us about thirty attempts to secure two tickets for the last night of her performance.

Unfortunately we found out we couldn't go because of a prior arrangement, and so placed the tickets on one of the auction sites. We paid £45 for the tickets and started the bidding at £100. They sold for £325!! Glad we couldn't go know.

The tickets are a rip off as the cheapest seat cost £45 (including booking fees) and it costs £66 to go to V2001 and see Coldplay, David Gray, Doves, Toploader and many others over a two day festival. However, our experience with selling these tickets shows that people will pay the price no matter how much they charge for these things.
