Advantages: Amazing performance, great material, great sound

Disadvantages: Prices, lack of atmosphere?, Tickets hard to get, I didn't get one!

I'm in a smutty mood, so excuse the title.

I sadly haven't had the chance to see Madonna live, I'd have loved too- but you may remember that the tickets were quite difficult to get... ;-)

I have seen her live recently on TV though. I'm amazed at her energy and enthusiasm, which has been maintained for what seems like decades (and is). I did get the chance to see her in the early 80s, although I can't say much about that- because I was about a week old- what irresponsible parents taking me..?! :-)

Her performances are amazing- with sound quality like it's on a CD, great effects- and she's a real performer. Her recent albums have also been her best ever- with 'Ray of Light' possibly being one of my favourite albums of all time. Therefore, surely her concerts would be the perfect gig?

Sadly, I'm not sure- half the fun of seeing someone live is the feeling that you get from being quite close to them- and the atmosphere. However, surely this cannot exist when tickets are so expensive and hard to get, and crowds are large. Therefore, I think her concerts could be a bit souless.

However, that could just be sour grapes due to the fact I'm not seeing her- and it almost sounds like I'm blaming her for being too good!
