I must admit - I approached the world of Man's Bike with some trepidation, if not quite total apprehension. I'd heard so much about them via the local underground music scene, yet not actually heard anything by them that I was worried that disappointment would be the only dish on the menu of the day. That was until I took the proverbial plop and splashed out on their debut EP - "Hollow Pipe"... Well, what can I say - hearing it was an experience that I won't forget in a hurry, that's for sure! It has been said that all music is noise but not all noise is music. Man's Bike adds an extra dimension to this thought. Creating incredible, ugly yet beautiful sound 'sculptures', Man's Bike produces a sound that cannot really be described as music and yet is far too interesting to be dismissed merely as noise. Very little is known about the reclusive Man's Bike but a good starting point for info is- http://www.mp3.com/mansbike. Live appearances are very rare and virtually nothing is known about group members. I just hope that some new material is released soon. My copy of the first CD is nearly worn out! ...
