However I appreciate it might be tricky obtaining it in the UK at a reasonable price so I cannot recommend enough getting her Greatest Hits, that is currently selling at £6.99 in the HMV January sale. I'm sure the staff would have one transferred to your local branch. On here you get 19 tracks, all your favourites and 5 breathtaking new ones. I am a huge Martina Mcbride fan and have all of her albums except her debut 'The Time has come'. I wish so much I had bought it when I was on holiday in Florida. I can draw solace though from the inclusion of 4 tracks off that album on her follow up 'The way that I am'. This is probably my favourite and the one that brought her huge smash hits with 'My Baby Loves me' and Independednce Day'. My personal favourites are 'She ain't seen nothin' yet' and 'strangers'. I first saw Martina McBride on Country Music Television a few years ago. The song and video I saw was 'Independence Day', a very heartfelt and powerful song about domestic violence. The thing that made it so effective was the point of view, it was told through the daughter's eyes. It told the tale of a mother living with a drunken husband, and how everybody around her looks the other way. The mother takes control of the situation. She kills herself and her husband by setting fire to their home when the daughter goes to the independence day fair. As I was so impressed with this song I brought the album, 'The Way That I am'.
