In late '86, Metallica bassist Cliff Burton lost his life on a fatal tourbus accident. At this point the band were really distressed as first and foremost they had lost a friend than a band member and didn't know whether they were able to continue or not. Fortunately the band members, according to Lars agreed that "Cliff would've been the first to get pissed off if we stopped now", and so the band soldiered on with newly recruited bassist Jason Newsted, and broke him in with a covers E.P. I bought this, which is the "Load" tour(Live from Fort Worth, Texas 9-10 th May, 1997.) originally on video, and though that I loved it, I played it to death, but then my fiance got it on DVD, and oh wow!! You haven't seen it till you've seen it on DVD! We have 5 surround sound speakers hooked up to our widescreen tv,it's in Dolby Digital 5.1, so you really get the full atmosphere of it all! It sound out of this world!!! And as for the picture?? You see things you never saw on the vid!! Well, as for the gig?? A lot better than S&M (Mind you, anything is in my book lol!)
