I feel very strongly about Michael Jackson, and with all this stuff going on about child abuse (again), I thought I'd give you my opinion of him! Don't be expecting a lengthy biography of him, I'm simply just writing my views on 'Wacko Jacko'.

Millions of people watched the Martin Bashir documentary, and laughed at Michael, with his strange ways and thrifty spending habits. I just felt uncomfortable and embarrassed - I thought Martin Bashir just took advantage of Michael's trusting nature and stabbed him in the back with his cheesy, two-faced documentary. Martin's caring, sympathetic reputation is in tatters now and nobody wants to be interviewed by him - can you really blame them?!

Michael Jackson is a 44 year-old musician who has made dozens of hit records, and is the father of three children. According to which tabloid you believe, he is a hugely wealthy man, or is millions of dollars in debt, as a result of his lavish lifestyle.

These ugly child abuse allegations have reared their head again, and I am 100% certain that he did not do anything indecent with a child. It seems to me, that in his head, Michael IS a child. He didn't have much of a childhood when he was in the Jackson Five, and he hasn't really grown up. He hasn't had the chance to. He's very naive and innocent; far too trusting, which is where he runs into trouble.

He just doesn't have the mentality to sexually abuse children. When he sleeps in the same bed as little boys, that's as far as it goes, and I don't doubt that for a second. Sex doesn't come into it - deep down, I believe that Michael thinks sex is dirty and shameful. He is trying to relive his miserable childhood, and give disadvantaged children a happier childhood than he did. The greedy parents of these children who stay with him see an opportunity to make money, and grab it. Anyway, why would anyone let their child stay overnight with a compl
ete stranger? I definitely wouldn't, whether he's an alleged celebrity paedophile or not.

He lives in his own fantasy world, Neverland, where he has his own zoo and theme park. He shuts himself away from the outside world - he can't cope with the harsh press he receives, and deals with it badly. For example, he dangled 'Blanket' out of a window to try and placate the huge crowds of journalists and fans outside his balcony. It was silly and foolish, but hardly stupid enough to merit calling in social services - it was obvious he had a firm grip on 'Blanket'. Some people just think 'Oh he's a freak, look at his face!' and have it in for him.

When I watch videos for his songs, such as Billie Jean and Smooth Criminal, I feel nothing but pity. Where has this attractive, dark-skinned man gone? Why has he been replaced by a feminine white man? Would he be like this if he was working in a supermarket, married with three children?

Of course he hasn't had just two nose jobs, as he claims, but I feel that he genuinely believes he has only had two operations. He has some serious psychological problems, to do with his father (who apparently used to beat him) and his childhood (his lack of it), that he needs to face. He had too much pressure on him at a too early stage, and look where that's got him.

I know this sounds strange, but I am worried about how he will cope with these sexual abuse claims. In the Martin Bashir documentary, he came across as very fragile and unstable - will he try to commit suicide? I wouldn't blame him to be honest, if the rumours, saying that he's billions in debt, his children are going to be taken away from him, he is going to be charged for child molestation, etc, are true.

His children are also an issue. Wearing masks whenever they go out and having a father accused of child abuse can't be good for them, and they might end up just as disturbed a
s him. The thing is, he thinks all this is normal, because he is surrounded by people who pander to his every whim.

I was listening to Key 103 recently, where there is a late-night phone in hosted by James Stannage. Some person rang in and declared that Michael Jackson should be locked up. I think it's obvious he's innocent, and his accusers are money-hungry gold-diggers. If he really did have a thing for little children, would he really allow himself to be filmed saying he slept in the same bed as them?

The worst thing Michael Jackson has done is being too naive and trusting when it comes to complete strangers. He expects everyone to like and understand him, when in fact, very little people do! But that's not a crime, and I just feel sorry that so many people have an judgemental dislike or even hatred, of him.

I'll leave it up to the courts to decide. I don't think any of the participants will come out of this looking very good though.

I feel sorry for him too. He's definitely got big problems and no one out there's helping really. They're all after the money, one way or the other.

cool op. i dont think we people are in a position to say we dont believe/do believe the claim, we dont know what evidence there is at all. but you have to say that maybe there isnt any smoke without fire, and somewhere along the line hes done things he shouldnt have. but on the other hand, if you throw enough shit it'll stick, and he may just be the unfortunate victim of a media witch-hunt. andy.
