I have no doubt that you have/havent heard of this song writer and composer. Mike Oldfield is probably the most prolific music person on this planet and has produced some timeless classics in his collection of many great CDs and Songs.


You may recognise his 'Tubular Bells' piece as the theme from the Exorcist, this was a great piece and now has been updated into Tubular Bells 3 - which is an album in itself.

Some of the greatest albums by Mike Oldfield are Tubular Bells 1, 2, 3 and the best of all 'Songs of Distant Eart' - inspired by Arthur C Clarke's book 'Songs of Distant Earth' - in fact Oldfield actually asked if he could make a soundtrack for the book - it is amazing, you simply have to listen to know how original and brilliant it is.

I would recommend you listen to these songs, if you have never heard them then please do as you will not regret.
