THE BAND ------------------- My Dying Bride, from Yorkshire, UK, were formed in 1990 by Aaron Stainthorpe (vocals), Andrew Craighan (Guitar), Calvin Robertshaw (Guitars) and Rick Miah (Drums). The release of the demo, "Towards The Sinister" (1990) and the 7" single "God Is Alone" (1991), lead to a record deal with Peaceville Records, who the band are still signed to to this very day. My Dying Bride were probably the first Doom Metal band to utilize a real violin on their early albums, and the band has become probably the most well known Death Doom Metal band in the world.
