Paying for Napster will be like paying to listen to the radio.
Napster in my opinion is one of the best services on the Internet. With two clicks of the mouse you can download your favourite tune and listen to it all you want.
It is just the same as recording your best friends new CD onto tape, or recording a song off the radio. It's called sharing - which most of us were all brought up to do.
Now, I understand that living in a world of Capitalism, copyright laws seem to be everywhere, but they still don't prevent us from recording all the time.
Unfortunately, Napster has had great publicity and a few artists have decided to kick up a fuss. They don't like Napster because people are listening to their music for free. All they want is money, money, money. They believe that because of Napster, sales of their music will decrease. I can understand where they are coming from, because if Napster took over completely and everyone had a CD writer on their computer, there would be no need to buy a CD ever again. But that is not the case and it will never be like that.
Unfortunately, a lot of the artists that are complaining are already rich and famous. This just goes to show that they are greedy and would probably not miss out from a few of their records being shared.
It is quite interesting to see that all the new unknown artists do not mind their music being shared. They want to get noticed, they want people to appreciate their talent. It is only until you have fame and money that you may forget what music is all about.
I believe that this huge debate about Napster is a comment on society. We are all brought up to share - this is the one quality that every mother wants her child to learn. But as soon as boy meets world, priority's change and we can see this here. Unfortunately, it is a dog eat dog world, and we do need money to survive, but to what lengths one should go to be ri

You may think I have taken the Napster issue a bit too seriously but music is my life and I appreciate every little bit! I believe that music is the poetry to life and must be shared to all!
