When people ask me what sort of music gets me going I say "Ninja Tune". 9 times out of 10 I get a puzzled look as if I didn't understand the question. They ask me "Who is Ninja Tune, Is he like fatboy slim?" Then I laugh out loud and chop his head off with my ninja disk. Sorry just making sure you are paying attention to this very important subject that I just have to write about. I just recieved my ninja tune jumper. I'm very happy and am wearing it at this moment. The record label is good and has a good host of artists ranging from hip-hop to modern cuts such as "the cinematic orchestra" (TCO). The "TCO" is my personal favourite of this label. There past albums such as motion have provided my with amazing listening pleasure. The band play instrumental music with a classical feel. Other artists on the ninja tune label include giants like roots maneuva to unkown up and coming artists. For 10 years now Ninja have been putting out quality tunes From early efforts by Coldcut such as Beats N Pieces and DJ Food's various collections they have defined the perfect niche for an amazing variety of jazz, hiphop and electronica. They also run subsiduary labels. 'Big Dada' for UK hiphop has the Infesticons and Roots Manuva signed. Check the 1998 compilation 'Black Whole Styles' for some of the best home grown talent around. They also run 'Ntone' for more electronic sounds. The latest Ninja compilation 'Xen Cuts' is no exception with killer tunes from many the artists on the labels such as Kid Koala, ...
