Advantages: Great compilation
Disadvantages: Eazy's voice
For those who can adhere Eazy E’s whining for more than a couple of hours then this is a good album to buy. Produced by, the previously famous Ruthless records, the album is a compilation of not Eazy E going solo, but the NWA tunes in which Eazy sung. Ruthless records produced some other great albums including another album I have rated, NWA – Greatest Hits. Ruthless Records produced albums for a lot of gangsta rap artists and have a produced a good album here with Eazy. With DJ Yella on the decks the album has a great beat and with the rest of NWA appearing on the album the rapping is top quality and has a different taste. The songs themselves, are mainly sung by Eazy himself, you can obviously tell due to the whining from Eazy. I believe Eazy’s voice has its strong points, in some tunes it is well suited due to the explicit lyrics. The tunes on the album are really cool, “Boyz in tha hood” kicks off the album, the song is a bit slow but the lyrics are great. “8 ball”, “Radio”, and “nobody move” also appear on the album and are all great tunes, they all have a wicked back beat produced by Yella. My favourite tune has to be 8 ball due to the fantastic start produced by Yella. Other tunes on the album include, Eazt duz it, Neighbourhood sniper, Eazy-er said than dunn and Nobody move. There are more great tunes as well so don’t worry. Obviously with the inclusion of NWA on the album you don’t have to put up with Eazy on the whole album. I would definitely recommend it to someone who liked Eazy from NWA, like Dr Dre or to anyone who seriously likes gangsta rap. I give this album a good 85% If you want advice on any gangsta rap albums or just wanna chat about rap the e-mail me at alex1885@hotmail.com!!!

- 12/04/01 To be honest i didn't like this album. I prefer N.W.A. as a group and not just Eazy E. Ice Cube and DRE have done well though. Have you heard N.W.A are reforming with snoop instead of eazy e? not these nigg** again! |
