Advantages: They truely are Rock'n'Roll stars!!
Disadvantages: None
The founder member of Oasis (formerly named Rain) were Liam Gallagher(vocals), Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass), and Tony McCaroll (drums), they were then joined by Noel Gallagher who changed their name, took over and became their sole songwriter.
After watching the band play at King Tut's Wah Wah hut in 1994, Alan McGee of Creation records signed them up. Their first single was "Supersonic", then "Shakermaker", but neither did much in the charts. The release of "Live forever" brought them into the limelight and made them popular. Their debut album "Definatley Maybe" broke records and became the fastest selling debut album in British history!!!
Their second album also broke records, "(Whats the Story) Morning Glory" was the fastest selling album. It was released in 1995 and went straight to Number One. Prior to this, Liam allegedly sacked drummer Tony McCarrol for "having cury hair" and he was replaced by Alan White. This was followed by "Be Here Now" in August 1997, and the B-sides album "The Masterplan"
After the walking out of guitarist 'Bonehead' and Bassist 'Guigsy', the band were rumoured to be splitting, but the members were simply replaced by Gem Archer (Heavy Stereo) and Andy Bell (Hurricane #1 and Ride) and the album "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants" was released. Followed by the christmas release of "Familiar to Millians", a live album recorded at Wembley.
Oasis are a fantastic group who are often knocked, but have stood the test of time better than most bands. Now into their seventh year they still ROCK! I have seen them play twice, once at Knebworth and once at Sheffield Arena. They are a fantastic band live, filling their whole set with exitement, tension and excellent songs. Liam is a great frontman, hes got attitude, sex appeal and a great voice. Noel
is a genius of a songwriter, and the rest of the band add to their brilliance.
A lot is discussed about their private lives, as with most other bands, but as far as I am concerned none of that matters, it is about the music and they are great musicians, great entertainers and thats what it is about. I met Liam and he was lovely, not at all arrogant, but very polite and sweet, I was pregnant at the time and he patted my bump and wished me well. So there you go, dont always believe what you read in the papers.
I have allsix Oasis albums, my favourite is Definately Maybe, but they are all great. I would definately (maybe?) recommend everyone to buy them!

what about regarding Liams voice as the rock vocal for the nineties. He's not a singer, he's a vocalist, and a gorgeous one at that!
