The Offspring have been around for 11 years now, they released their first album simply titled 'The Offspring'. This was followed by 'Ingnition', then 'Smash', 'Ixnay on the Hombre', 'Americana' and last but not least their latest smash, 'Conspiracy of One'. I never used the Offspring, OK I'd heard 'Pretty Fly For A White Guy' and thought it was OK, but nothing special. Then one day at school my friend who had bought the album found it had fell out in to his bag and been scratched pretty badly, he was obvioulsy annoyed and about to smash it up before I saved it, knowing that the majority of the tracks ... The Offspring produced 4 great albums before grabbing fame with the worst of them Americana. It is nothing more than a sell out pop album, granted it is pretty good, but they just sold out to the music industry. Once they were one of the best puck bands around. They didn't give a f*** if no-one was listening to their music because it was only about the music they were making it because they wanted to and it felt good, I just can't stand so called "fans" who think Americana is their debut album. These guys have been going for 12 years and their first 4 albums are some of the best I have heard. My personal favourite is their self titled ... Read the complete review

I don't think I'm really a typical Offspring fan. I don't wear the T-shirts, don't have a single piercing, and it would take a lot of cold, hard cash to get me to ever dye my hair. Even then it would have to be non-permanent. Admittedly, the first of their music I ever heard, was from the 1998 Americana. I think the first track was Pretty Fly, which I thought was absolutely hopeless. I thought, damn, that's rubbish, guess I don't like Offspring. Little did I know how wrong I was. But then, I "inherited" the whole album, thought that I might aswell give it a try. A little more persuaded perhaps.. then I came online to ... Read the complete review

For Quite a long time now the Offspring have been one of my favourite bands. They first caught my attention with ‘Smash’ and then after that I was hooked. I saw them at Reading 1999, which I loved and I thought it was fantastic when Dexter Holland sprayed everyone with the fire hoses. And I still like them now. I have just been to see them at Manchester on their European Tour. They were awesome. The mosh pit absolutely exploded when Dexter started the gig with ‘hey man you know I’m really OK….’ (you know the rest). They then continued to fire out track after track, so old ‘sh*t’ and some of the knew ... Read the complete review

The Offspring band consists of Dexter (vocalist), Greg K (bass guitarist), Ron Welty (drums) and Noodles (lead guitarist). The bands first album was Ignition which was released in 1992. Then it was Smash which came in 1995. The next was Ixnay on the Hombre which was released just a year before the bi o our shops in 1995. The next to follow was Offspring (‘original’) which came out in g hit Americana which was in 1998. The last album they released and probably the most well known I Conspiracy of One. Dexter (the vocalist) has his guitars looked after by Steve on and off the stage. That may help you understand why Dexter’s Ibanez RB is always in ... Read the complete review
