Advantages: Good songs, what they write about is true

The first time that I had heard this band was on a boring Sunday, so using my time constructively i was flicking through the music channels, and I came across one of the best songs that I had ever heard, this song was called 'Last Resort'. I'm not really into this type of music, but this song was just so good. And then, to my delight, one of my mates has their album 'Infest', so I?m currently borrowing it of him, and believe me, it is well worth buying. I know they have another album out, but I am not sure what that is called, but I can assure you, when I find out, it is mine.
Their music is a kind of heavy/rap music, a bit like Limp Bizkit, but only better. Even if you're not into this style of music, the chances are you could well end up liking them once you have heard a couple of songs. The most well known song in this country is 'Last Resort', which is about suicide, which could be quite disturbing to some people. But this great song is not the best song on their latest album, 'Between Angels and Insects' has to be one of, if not my favorite song of all time, it is about how money and possessions are not important in life, which is quite true. I don't know too much about them, but I know they are big in the states, 'Infest' has a sticker on the front saying "US top five album". Personally, I think it is only a matter of time before the younger people in the community are influenced by their music.
If you want a better picture of how good they are, they recently received two Grammy Nominations, one for 'best new group', and the other for 'best short form music video', which is for another great song 'Broken Home'. So they have to be quite good if they get nominated for a Grammy in ?best new group?.
If you haven't ever heard of them, I suggest that you download either 'Last Resort', or 'Between Angels and Insects', once you have hea

- 09/02/01 This is a good well written opinion, although I'm not sure if I agree with everything you've said. I too loved Last Resort, and I think they are a band with the potential to make good music, but after listening to their album, I felt that they were a bit repetitive. But I've only listened to it once; I think I'll give them another chance...! |

- 02/02/01 I do not like Limp Biskit, (or however they are spelt), but love that LAST RESORT song, and have heard a bit of Broken home- I agree, they sound soooo good. They are sort of the same as other heavy rock groups, but different too = weird huh?
