Advantages: Great tunes, Makes a change from the norm, One of the best modern Ska bands
Disadvantages: None really
Reel Big Fish are one of the most exciting Ska bands around at the moment. I fist got to see them in Corporation a rock club in Sheffield. The venue was packed to the the rafters, and after some quality warm up bands, Reel big Fish kicked into action. The gig was amazing, and the crowd really got into the music. There wasn't really a mosh pit but everyone was well spirited and if someone went down they helped them up. Much linking of arms and skanking was done and even a giant skanking conga at one point. So that was reel big Fish live, a band worth seeing. Apart from the live gig i'll discuss the band a little more. They play great Ska punk tunes, and have a ska'd up cover of AH HA's take on me, which always goes down well at gigs. The music is great for going clubbing too as it puts you in a good mood and is fun to dance too. You get a good selection of songs on the CD's <none of this 8 songs for £15 rubbish> and I have seen them reasonably priced in Virgin. Reel Big Fish really are a feel good band, and with all the miserable Nu-Metal around at the moment, they make a breath of fresh air for rock fans. I suggest any Ska or Rock fan out there gets a copy of one of their CD's or if you get the chance see them live, you are bound to love em !
