Crowned Review Robbie Williams - Live: My close encounter (1246 words)

It occurs almost every 3 years, I go crazy and spend all my money on 2 hours of pleasure.....Robbie Williams. The Date: Saturday 9th September 2006 The Time: Gates open 2pm The Venue: Roundhay Park, Leeds When I heard that the tickets were going on Sale in November of 2005 I signed myself up to the Inner Sanctum website as an exclusive member so that I could take advantage of pre-released ticket sales, in hindsight I wish i had not of bothered as there were plenty of tickets readily available and I had spent the whole day in work queuing on the internet to get my chance to purchase tickets. After 6 hours of ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Hello Robbie! (1496 words)

Rating:

I've never really understood the Robbie Williams phenomenon. My friends all worship him (female and male), he's constantly voted number one in the sexiest man in the world stakes, he has had a string of successful beautiful girlfriends and respected artists willing to collaborate with him. So, when my flatmate asked if I knew of anyone who might like to go and see Robbie Williams at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 15th July - for free, I might add (by some blag or another), I thought - why not? Let's go and see what all the fuss is about. Feeling slightly guilty at not being a Robbie fan and knowing there were plenty of others who'd ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Robbie Williams - Live: I died and went to heaven! (810 words)

Well I have to admit that I am a bit of a Robbie freak, and even though I have all the CD's and hours of Robbie tape I had not seen Robbie Williams live in concert before November 2 2000. My friends and I arrived at The London Arena in Docklands at 5 p.m., when we saw the length of the queue we all said that we should have arrived before 3 in the afternoon. As we had standing tickets, and were hoping for front row (wasn't everybody?) our hearts sank. We needn't have worried though, it turned out that the vast majority of the hundreds of people queuing in the rain had seats. I remember thinking to myself, how strange that all these people with ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Robbie Rocked (624 words)
by - written on 11/08/01 (Very useful, 207 readings)
Rating:

On Sunday August 5th 2001, Robbie rocked Hampden Park to finish his tour in the most spectacular style! Before his act we saw ABC, to whom I had never heard but started the crowd going and then an above average performance from Toploader which really lifted the crowd, especially with Dancing in the moonlight and Achilles heel! The screens at the side of the stage, read in Britain there are over 17,000 Robert Williams, but there is only one ROBBIE which created a vibrant atmosphere around. His terrific performance couldn't have started any better than an over-whelming performance of Let me Entertain You! Robbie then dazzled the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Robbie Williams - Live: What an entertainer (536 words)
by - written on 07/08/01 (Very useful, 61 readings)
Rating:

I went to see Robbie last October at the NEC in Birmingham. The show was absolutely amazing, my attention was sustained throughout by the great entertainer. I paid 30 pounds which was the seat plus booking fee and it was worth every penny. The show began with the Dumdums, who were on for about half and hour playing a well chosen selection of songs they had already released and new ones from the album. They also had us joining in with Will Smith's rap for the opening credits of the American sitcom "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air". They were brilliant and certainly warmed the crowd up well for Rob. Next on was ex-Kula Shaker ...  Read the complete review
