I first got into Soundgarden when i was 11. I'm 19 now and my love for them hasn't changed, they have changed their style a little over the years but i have loved every single bit of their music.

Chris cornell has an amazing voice which is shown on all the albums, but especially bad motor finger, which also just happens to be my favourite album. What i like most about Soundgarden is their energy and the fact that they are also an amazing group with quality songs, i just can't fault them, as they can do heavier tracks, but then they can do slower tracks just as well.

a little background on Soundgarden....
ok, they formed in seattle, Chris cornell was their lead singer and guitarist, kim thayil the lead guitarist, Ben sheperd the bassist, except before him there was hiro yamamoto for the very early stuff and on drums there was matt cameron, who now tours with pearl jam, and Chris cornell has a solo album out called "euphoria morning" and also is rumoured to be the new lead singer of ratm.

Anyway the list of albums is quite big, and there are reviews of the albums on dooyoo which are good, the albums that they havevn't mentioned that soundgarden did are Chris Cornell's Euphoria morning, which is an amazing album, that is very meloncollie but still amazing and also the singles soundtrack, which featues "seasons" possibly the best soundgarden song ever and also "birth ritual" which is a solo song by chris cornell again. If you are interested in soundgarden then i'd reccommend the singles soundtrack and also A sides as it does give you a taster from each soundgarden album and you'll be hooked from then on.

In summary Soundgarden are an amazing band that i totally reccommend to anyone and everyone, especially to people who are already into the seattle grunge scene.
