Advantages: They are different and they have produced some umbelivable hits.

Disadvantages: Some songs are very heavy and may not appeal to many people.

System of a down really are the most amazing band in every way and I have been a really big fan of them as a result for a long time now. System of a down is an American rock band that was originally formed in 1994 in California. The band consists of four main members, Serj Tankian (lead vocals), Daron Malankian (Vocals and guitar), Shavo Odadjian (Bass guitar) and John Dolmayan (Drums). There work in general has earned them many awards in general and one of them being a Grammy award in 2006 for best hard rock performance.

They are very different in their style and dress, I particulalry love the lyrics. They are very strange and you cannot really make sense of them adding to the excellence of this band. The guitar riffs and melodies featured in the songs really are umbelivable and is what makes the songs so good. The drummer has also done many fabulous tracks that are world renound for their brilliance. System of a down are part of the Axis of justice which is a non-profit organisation attempting to bring musicians together. The band has now sold over 20 million records worldwide proving the bands popularity and shear brilliance!

The band have produced many albums including "System of a down" and "Toxicity" which really have been the breakthough in their career leading to mass fame for the band. They have produced some incredible hits including B.Y.O.B, Toxicity, Chop suey and many, many others. This really is an inspirational band that seems to be unstopable! They really are something different and so I would really recommend them, their music varies quite a bit adding to the interest of the band in general.
