With it being a small venue, it seemed that much more intimate. We were treated to all of their hits and the crowd were left shouting for more at the end. I was extra happy as it was my birthday and Wayne and the band autographed the DVD I'd bought at the merchandising stall. Altogether a remarkable gig from one of the greatest Goth bands...more

After many years of listening to their music, I was finally able to see the band live and can honestly say they didn't disappoint. The Lighting the Candles tour was done in a series of small clubs around the country as a way of making their music more available to people. I attended their Preston gig. Saw them earlier this year in Bristol, and although it was the first time in four years, it was definitely worth the wait. Slight line-up changes - a new drummer called Scotty Garrett, who did an excellent job, but Mick Brown still has a special place in my heart! Also a new(ish) guitarist called Mark Thwaite, who was brilliant. Wayne Hussey's voice is still as strong and passionate as it always was, and he still manages to put all his energy into every single song. Glad to see he still ...  Read the complete review
