Advantages: Wayne Hussey and a host of excellent songs.

Disadvantages: They're not going to tour any more :(

After many years of listening to their music, I was finally able to see the band live and can honestly say they didn't disappoint. The Lighting the Candles tour was done in a series of small clubs around the country as a way of making their music more available to people. I attended their Preston gig. As soon as they started their set I was impressed at how good they were live. Wayne Hussey was awesome and sounded as good live as on their albums.

With it being a small venue, it seemed that much more intimate. We were treated to all of their hits and the crowd were left shouting for more at the end.

I was extra happy as it was my birthday and Wayne and the band autographed the DVD I'd bought at the merchandising stall. Altogether a remarkable gig from one of the greatest Goth bands of all time. Sisters of Mercy? Forget them - The Mission are much more appreciative of their fans.

Summary: A great band who'll be sadly missed on the scene.
