Goldfrapp in General:
... ice maiden tries so hard and yet she fails miserably. While the old look is being emulated by a few stylish student types, it seems highly unlikely that anyone will take tips from the new look Alison Goldfrapp. Whispers around the venue are suggesting Madonna but to be brutally honest its a damn site closer to that Nolan Sister who can't get pregnant in Brookie. Oh dear what has she come to. What she lack... Read the full review: Goldfrapp - Live In Manchester by mccannalex |

Lamb - Live ... first saw Lamb at Glastonbury 99, on the jazz stage. I d recently bought their second album (which was eagerly awaited for 3yrs), and thought that I should check them out. I didn t expect anything fantastic from them, but I enjoyed their funky music. Lamb came on as an 11 piece band at about 10pm, just as the night was drawing in, and the light shows were begining to have their desired effect, illuminating the band as they burst into life. I realised that they are alot more talented than I had previously given them credit for. I was astonished by the way an 11 piece band held together their mix of old style jazz, to drmm&bass, drum and vocal solos, bringing us som... Read the full review: glastonbury-lamb by bumb1e |

Freestylers in General ... went to see the freestylers live at the Sanctuary club in Birmingham and I can honestly say it was one of the best gigs I have been to! The Fresstylers sound is unique, a blend of breaks and beats which are very raw. You will almost have certainly heard at leat one of their tunee, eg. Mr Baaaaad Man, or RuffNecks, both excellent club tracks. It only cost £3 to get in that night, and that included the whole club night as well as the Freestylers playing a set. Although I only knew a few of their songs, they were all instantly catchy and recognisable. We were right at the front, and the lead singer (Tenor Fly) had a bare chest, not that I was complaining! They had t... Read the full review: An amazing experience by kittykat18 |

Freestylers in General ... When i got hold of the freestylers first album, "We Rock Hard" i wasn't sure what to expect. But it was clear from the first couple of blistering tracks that this was gonna be an album of breaks and beats that was slickly produced yet survived with a raw and dirty edge. Lovely. The freestylers have this knack of sounding fresh and new, yet take you back to the days of throwing shapes on the mat, and spinning frantically on your bum on any polished surface if, like me you can't actually breakdance. Beats and bass are the order of the day, interspersed with some extremely cool samples. Sam L Jackson used to great effect "excuse me. Did I bre...
