From October to All That You Can't Leave Behind, U2 have been producing top quality music. Hopefully there's one or two albums left in them (and maybe another World tour (0; ). Even if there isn't we will always have the classics.

The Joshua Tree, possibly their most outstanding work to date, with classics like With Or Without You, Bullet The Blue Sky, One Tree Hill and so many, many others. Recognized by fans and critics alike as one of the best, if not the best album of the 80's. Packed with ballads and great sing-alongs. Pure Bliss.

Pop, their most controversial album of their career, I think still lived up to the expectations of many hardcore U2 fans. And how could it not, with classics like Discotheque (air guitar cue!), Staring At The Sun, Please and the rockin' MOFO? Slammed by critics but adored by fans a vital addition to any U2 collection.

All That You Can't Leave Behind was U2's first studio album since Pop and didn't dissapoint. Packed to the brim with soon-to-be-classics like In A Little While,
the bouncy Elevation and the truly brilliant Walk On. One of those album's that begged to be listened to.

Achtung Baby is the last album I'm going to do a small review of because I don't want this to drag on, but please don't consider other albums such as Zooropa, The Unforgettable Fire and Ratlle And Hum worthless as they are just as good if not better than the albums I've mentioned. Achtung Baby was U2's comeback for the 90's and remains their finest work of that decade. Acrobat astounded, One amazed and The Fly re-established The Edge as one of the great guitarists of our time. Heaven.

My first experience of U2 live is going to be on 25th August in Slane Castle, Ireland. Also playing are Coldplay, JJ72, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Relish and Kelis.The summer can't go quick enough!U2 set up rock in the 90's and even now bands list U2 as one of
their main musical influences, and will in years to come.If you want a first album you can't go wrong with The Joshua Tree but any albums listed here are sure to delight. I just hope they bring you as many years of enjoyment as they've brought me.
