Don't get me wrong - I'm a big fan of Victoria Wood. I've seen her several times in concert, and seen all her TV shows. I believe she's unsurpassed when it comes to British comedy - be it situation comedy, standup, whatever. I know she is a composer of music, and she has produced some decent tunes, some decent serious lyrics. She can produce a hushed silence with one of her 'serious' songs.
