I first heard Weezer on one of my skate videos, it was the best song I had EVER heard! (it was on the "Arron Feinburg" section on Senate Standfast) and fitted in so well with the tricks he was doing! At the beginning of the song “Say it any so, there is a slow drum beat and guitar riff, then the vocals come in, it goes on for a bit before the songs picks up momentum, from the line “say it ant so” the chorus goes on (which I think is the best bit) and then it goes back to the placid melody before exploding one final time! the song has so much feeling in it and just listening it releases a wave of adrenaline that I can imagine would be the equivalent of jumping out of a plane! The band have there own Unique style, which is just a cut above the rest, they have other quality songs apart from “Say it ant so like “Buddy Holly” and “Pink Triangle” as you may have read I have set a gole for myself, that (by around may 2001) I will have every Weezer album, single and piece of memorabilia ever made! I heard a band play a cover of Weezers “Say it ant so” In Stratford-upon-Avon a few days ago, and although the song sounded really good, it just wasn’t the same as when Weezer play it live! there is so much energy in there music and if I had to compare them to any other band, then I would have great difficulty, because a) some of or parts of there songs could be compared to Travis b) It would explode (the song) and turn into a mix between Nirvana and Greenday! If you have ever heard the song “Say it ant so” then I would be very interested in your opinion! you can contact me at my E mail address DooYoo2@hotmail.com or leave a commentary on this opinion!

- 08/06/01 'Say it ain't so', 'only in dreams', 'across the sea' and 'crab' are the best Weezer songs. Period. |

- 21/11/00 Of the singles, I must say I preferred "Buddy Holly" to "Say it ain't so". It's still a good song, though - especially the dual guitars towards the end. |
