* Who are Westlife ? *

Westlife are a band of four lads from Ireland. The group were a group of five until Brian Mcfadden left in 2004. The band are managed by X Factor judge Louis Walsh and have been active since 1998.
* So who are Westlife ? *

* Shane Filan *
Shane Steven Filan was born on July 5th 1979 (he's 28 years old) , in Sligo Ireland.He is the youngest of seven children ( he has three brothers and three sisters). Shane married his childhood sweetheart Gillain Walsh on December the 28th 2003.They have a daughter named Nicole who was born on 23rd July 2005.He is the lead singer in westlife , known for his soft 'whisper-like' voice.

* Mark Feehily *
Twenty Seven year old Mark was born on May 28th 1980 to parents Mark and Oliver. His full name is Markus Michael Patrick Feehily.He is from Sligo in Ireland. He has two younger brothers Barry and Colin. In 2005 he came out as gay in the Sun Newspaper.He has a rich and powerful voice and is the second lead singer in westlife.His partner is an ex member of the boyband V.

* Nicky Byrne *
Nicky was born Nicholas Bernard James Adam Byrne in Dublin , Ireland on October 9th 1978. He is 29 years old. Before Westlife he played football proffessionally and was a goalkeeper for Leeds United from 1995- 1999. He married his childhood sweetheart on August 9th 2003. In April 2007 they became proud parents of twins.

* Kian Egan *
Kian (full name : Kian John Francis Egan ) was born on April 29th 1980.He is 27 years old. His parents are called Patricia and Kevin and he has three brothers and three sisters. He was born in Sligo , Ireland. He currently dating Jodi Albert who is an ex Hollyoaks actress and ex member of the band Girlthing.

* Bryan Mcfadden *
Although Bryan left Westlife in 2004 , he was part of Westlife for approx six years and therefore I have decided to include him in my review. Bryan Nicholas Mcfadden was born on April 12th 1980 in Dublin Ireland ; he is 27 years old. He was married to ex Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona and have two daughters together ; Molly and Lily-Sue. The couple divorced in 2004. He has recently become engaged to Australian singer and ex Neighbours actress Delta Goodrem. Since leaving Westlife in 2004 Bryan began a Solo career having success with songs such as 'Irish Son' , 'Real To Me' and 'Almost Here' : a duet with Delta Goodrem (this was how they met)
His sister Susan won the part of Sandy on the ITV1 television programme Grease Is The Word.

* My Opinion *
I love Westlife. I think they're the best Boyband the Uk has ever had. They're have the most beautiful ballads and sing them soo well.My favourite band member is Mark because I love his voice ; it's so rich and powerful. However I prefered them when Bryan was still a member and when they first came out , because since Bryan left they've become more ' mature ' and more serious which is a shame.
I couldn't possibly choose a favourite Westlife Song but my favourites include : You Raise Me Up , Home and Flying Without Wings. My least favourite Song is I have A Dream.I'm not sure why I don't like it , I just guess it's one of them songs you either love or hate.One thing which annoys me about Westlife is the fact that Nicky and Kian don't sing much and leave it all to Shane and Mark while they just stand there , however they do join in on the chorus. Come on guys we know you've got good voices as you showed us from your earlier-day songs!
