Advantages: Singing is just about acceptable, only just!
Disadvantages: Most of "their" songs are covered by other artists hence the singles are not theirs!
As you can tell by the title of this opinion I am not a fan of Westlife at all, and its not just them either, the principle is the same with most other boy bands!
Why is it that Westlife constantly churn out plenty of cover singles which are not their own, the single has been written by an artist from the past, he or she has had the fame and success and then Westlife then come along, dredge it up from the grave, revamp it with their vocals, gain a number 1 single out of it and then everyone thinks they are a great success!
Well hear this, none of them can write a song, or at least that's what it seems to be! I dont think I can remember a song that they have done which is their own, if you can please comment on this opinion!
Their Christmas number 1 had to be a classic cover version didnt it, Seasons In The Sun. A classic cover song by Terry Jacks!
All I can say is that I am glad Bob The Builder has ruined their run of success of 8 number ones!
