... played, because a bunch of little poncy charvas with their little alcopops come onto the dancefloor and point their hands in the air jumping up and down with big grins on their faces and the atmosphere is so cheesy. It really does kill the Newcastle atmosphere when an evil DJ tortures us all with this song in a club. I can understand listening to this CD to laugh mercilessly at the young choir girls' voices for a few minutes, but one should never buy it for this purpose, as it only encourages them. Premium Review Wheatus in general: Show A Little Respect (474 words)

Most of you will have first heard of Wheatus when they released “Teenage Dirtbag” from the film “Loser”, because until then they seemed destined to be another unknown band. Wheatus are Brendan Brown, the lead singer, who sounds like a woman at times, (just think about the “Teenage Dirtbag” video where Meena Suvari mimes, and it could easily be her singing), and he also plays guitar. While recording the album, the bass player was Rich Leigey, however he left and was replaced by Mike McCabe. Brendan’s brother Pete is the drummer, and finally Phil Jiminez is responsible for percussion, keyboards and backing vocals. They ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wheatus deserve a little respect! (287 words)

Wheatus made their mark on the UK music industry with their hit Teenage Dirtbag taken from the film 'Loser' and are sure to be around for a long time. Songs off their self-titled album 'Wheatus' are just as catchy as teenage dirtbag, such as Leroy, Love is a Mutt from hell and Hump'em 'n' Dump'em. Who knew that their seemingly meaningless lyrics would be branded into the minds of teenagers across the country? There second hit single, a cover of the old song A little respect is as on there, and they sure know how to revive it. Wheatus create their own style dominated by a pop and rock genre which is party what ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wheatus in general: I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby! (181 words)

Wheatus launched their carrier with the smash hit single ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ that was used as the title song for the film ‘Loser’. When I first listened to the album, before I knew it I was listening to it for the second time. Not only does it contain such catchy tunes as ‘Teenage Dirtbag’, ‘Leroy’ and ‘Hump’em ‘n’ dump’em’, but also a cover of the classic ‘A little respect’. The band consists of members (brothers) Brenden B Brown (guitar, vocals) and Peter Brown (drums), Mike McCabe (bass) and Phil A. Jimenez (percussion, keyboards, backing vocals, ...  Read the complete review

Their hit song Teenage Dirtbag was totally wicked! The first time that i listened to this, i liked it straight away. I've also heard froma friend that their other songs are good as well. So, lets hope they're not a one hit wonder eh? The video, i think is really funny. It reminds me of the film the Water Boy. I don't know why it just does. I hadn't actually watched the whole thing from start to finish at first, but you think that he is actually getting it on with that girl. Well, i hate to break it to you so bluntly, but he isn't! He falls asleep first and then dreams of the events that occured that day. Then he dreams up the bit where he is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Wheatus in general: A TRAGEDY (295 words)

Wheatus are responsible for all of the world's troubles. They are tragic. What sort of example do their high voices set to the already increasingly fruity youth? These American idiots with their girly voices can't be tolerated, their music is an offence to the human race. What exactly has happened to the lead vocalists voice? Was he castrated as young boy and forced to join a church choir? Teenage Dirtbag is, I believe, their first single. On nights out I dread this getting played, because a bunch of little poncy charvas with their little alcopops come onto the dancefloor and point their hands in the air jumping up and down ...  Read the complete review
