This man must be one of the most talked about singers at the moment – and he hasn’t even released a record! But that will soon change, when his first single – Anything Is Possible / Evergreen is released on February 25th. So who is he and is he worth the hype? William Robert Young is 23 years old and from Hungerford, although he now lives in London. He studied Politics at Exeter University, gaining a 2.2 degree. His parents are Robin and Annabel. He has a twin brother, Rupert and an older sister, Emma. Will came to fame by winning Pop Idol, but this wasn’t his first taste of stardom. In 1999, he made it into a boyband put ... Last night was one of the best nights I have had in ages, and it was all down to one man, Mr Will Young. After seeing Will 3 times last year and twice the year before I thought to myself that nothing he could do could make the night as good as previous times, but how wrong could I be. Shrewsbury Quarry was the venue, set in a beautiful country park. We arrived at Shrewsbury (after getting lost) at around 4.45pm when we got there the queue wasn't to big so we plonked our bottoms down on the pavement and prepared for a hour and a quarter wait until they opened the gates. Whilst we were waiting we could hear will rehearsing in the background then we heard his ... Read the complete review

I have loved Will Young since his rendition of The Doors 'Light My Fire' on Pop Idol! My little boy would go to sleep to 'Evergreen' so it was a perfect excuse to have him playing all the time!. I love his free style and his voice just makes me swoon! At Christmas, when I was watching Will on World Idol, I actually had to put down my drink, whilst watching him! Yep, I ve got it bad!!! I asked my brother for 'Fridays Child' specifically for Christmas. You know what brothers are like! I didnt want to end up with something I hated!! I didnt love it straight away! I found it quite hard to get into. Its very orchestral so quite heavy ... Read the complete review

William Young. ------------- Unless you've been in outer space for the last few months, or locked deep undersea in a submarine, then you will be well aware that William Young is the talented 23yr old man, who beat 10,000 other young hopefulls to becoming Pop Idol 2002. Pop Idol. -------- Pop Idol was a show broadcast on ITV1 on primetime TV on a Saturday evening, by those two Newcastle lads, Ant and Dec. It was the brainwave of Record boss Simon Fuller, to put a panel of judges together, to audition many young stars in Cities around Britain until they found their Pop Idol. ‘...the winner with 4.6 million votes is… Will!’ ‘Yeeeesss!!! Yes! Yes! Yes!’ I jumped up from the sofa and ran to the phone which had just begun ringing, I answered the call with in place of ‘hello’, ‘AAARRRGGGHHH!!!’ It was my sister and we had been rooting for will ever since the day he stood up to Simon Cowell, that was when he was in the first fifty, and he wasn’t even standing up for himself really. He immediately came across as being a gentile, noble, character which was the reason why we were initially interested in him winning. When Will had originally gone to the audition it was the ...
