When the winner of Pop Idol was being decided. I was in two minds even though I wanted Will to think. I half wanted Gareth because he did so well to come so far and for his mum to say that ?he always came second? wasn?t very nice. Second in thousands isn?t that bad. But, if you look beyond the looks and stuttering Will was just class. He makes in the words of his judges ?the song his own?. He can appeal to a wider audience and sing song from any decade.

So what do I predict for this 23 year old Politics graduate. In the short-term he will be a huge success. His song will go to Number One and he will be on every front cover music magazine. He?s already shown that he can sing, something which arguably the Spice Girls couldn?t do. In the show he sang ?Light My Fire? which he sang exceptionally well, along with ?Night Fever? two of the songs which I particularly enjoyed. The voice coaches have I think helped a lot, helping him to chose songs that really suit his voice.
I expect him to have a number one hit single with ?Evergreen? when he releases it in early March.

Unlike Gareth, I think he will be a long term success. He can adapt and he does have talent. So, when a particular a type of song is needed he can deliver the good. Besides, I think he will get a lot of Pop Idol show fans voting for him. Gareth was the better looking with that Pop Idol look but as Robbie Williams proves you can embrace all audiences so I think Will will have more fans, young and old-so more single sold.

I saw an article in one of the tabloids comparing him to Robbie Williams, and there was a huge resemblance. Robbie Williams has made it huge and I am sure Will can do it again. He seems the type of guy to knuckle down and work hard. I do think he sounds a bit like Mick Huncknall in parts of his songs but in the middle of songs, he lift the tempo (watch his hand movement) and the songs he has sang just light up.

age, he?s probably done all the partying and is probably willing to work hard and craft out his success. He?s got a unique voice and if he does work hard I don?t think he will be a one hit wonder. You will certainly be seeing more of Will Young and a for a good few years yet. Victoria Beckham didn?t want to do a duet with him because she doesn?t think he?s up to standard. But, I personally think that he?s a better singer than her.

I am sure with some practice he dance moves will come. The ?image? is being worked on and with the right songs. Will will be a winner.
