Birmingham City Centre is a shoppers Paradise. Along with some small Specialised store, all the well-known names in retailing are represented here. All the Major department Stores are also represented. You would expect this to be the case in a City that is second only to London. When you take a look at the Department store Selfridges with its famous "Handbag" building, it sell everything you would expect as well as some more unusual goods like chilli-flavoured chocolates.
Birmingham doesn't have Harrods but it does have the House of Fraser Rackhams department store. Of all the department stores, perhaps this is the most ordinary, as it is not newly built or refurbished and still has an old fashioned feel to it.
The flagship Debenham's Store which spreads over three floors of one section of the new Bullring shopping complex has everything anyone could possibly want to buy, and then some. From Shiatsu massage cushions to cooking exotic utensils; from Wedding planning to baby changing, all of life is there.
Even Marks and Spencer is impressive with Furniture on the top floor and food in the lower ground floor and everything else in between. If you want it from Marks and Spencer, and they haven't got it at your local branch, take a trip into Birmingham Pavillion's Marks and Spencer. You will find it there!
