Now whats left is Sunwin House, owned by Yorkshire Co-operatives, which is one of the best department stores I have seen in a long time. Indeed, looking at Allders in Leeds (not the town centre but the one on Leeds & Bradford Rd) and Debenhams at the White Rose in Leeds I think that Sunwin House deserves a medal! There is so much more there and it is a lovely victorial building and has so much character to it its unbelievable. Sunwin House is now the only department store in Bradford alas now Brown & Muff, Busbys, Debenhams and Rackhams have all gone. I know that sounds really really bad but these were not all in the town at the same time - Brown & Muff was bought out by Rackhams (HOF) and subsequently shut down and Brown & Muff was bought out by Debenhams which was savaged by fire to return as a retail park.
