Its okay cos its cheap - yeah right (Ebay Addiction)

Advantages: None, I am surrounded by Ebay bought stuff !!!!

Disadvantages: You think its cheap but you just buy twie as much

I am not addicted to Ebay but my girlfriend is and I am glad that I have found this section to vent my annoyance on !
At first I did not mind that my girlfriend goes on Ebay alot, she does not just buy but she sells as well so I thought we could make some money.
Well it turns out that we do not have any extra cash because she gets paid by paypal when people buy from her then she spends it on the things she has won on Ebay !
There have been times when my girlfriend has sat up way into the night because there is something she wants and wants to make sure she does not get outbid, it is amazing how addictive Ebay can be !
Her arguement is that you get things a lot cheaper on Ebay however I think that there is no point getting things cheaper if you are going to spend twice as much money than you usually would on lots of things because they are cheap !
There are other things which seem to fuel my girlfriends addiction, her Ebay addiction feeds her addiction to 2 other things.
The first thing is Lush cosmetics and soaps ( which was already over flowing in our bathroom before she found out she could get it cheaper on Ebay ), she has boxes and boxes of the stuff and I think she will have enough soap and stuff to keep clean and moisturised for the next 500 years but still she buys more, why, thats right because it is cheaper on Ebay !
The other thing is those reborn babys, there was a show on channel 4 I think it was about people who make and buy dolls which look very like real babies, well as soon as she saw it she wanted one. My girlfriend collects porcelain dolls so said reborn dolls would go nice with her other dolls and so she sits for hours on Ebay bidding on these dolls which look feakishly real, they do look nice but they look too real and it is scary. Now she has decided to make a reborn doll herself and is bidding on loads of materials to do it.
I keep being told it is okay because it is cheap on Ebay but it is not cheap when she keeps buying loads and loads of stuff, I seem to be surrounded by soap and baby dolls.
Ebay needs to start an Ebayers anonymous group or smething for people like my girlfriend who just can not stop bidding !

Summary: I am seriously considering an Ebay ban in our house, my girlfriend needs to go cold turkey I think !
