I bought a pair of Marc O'Polo lace up Chelsea boots in a pre-Christmas liquidation sale in Salamander in Vienna, and paid just under 50 pounds for them, having originally been nearer 80 pounds. I would have baulked at such a price for a pair of shoes, had a I not known that I was guaranteed a good product. Whilst I saved money on the shoes, the shoe trees (about 12 pounds) and the after care products - polishes and weather-proofing sprays meant that I didn't really save that much money in the end.
