New Rocks.....boots for a lifetime !
I have a couple of pairs of these delightful boots and they look just as good today as they did the day i got them, although i have broken the zip on one of them but for everday wear for about 5 years I would say they did pretty well dont you?!
New Rocks are the sturdiest boots you could ever come across with their trademark metal tag, aqauplain soles(...and yes they work!)and thick leather material they may not be animal friendly but they are deffinitely built to last.A favourite amongst alternatives....note,no *goth, punk tags?!* they are a bit pricey coming in at around £100 for a basic pair but in the style catagories they cover some boots cost alot more!
You can get them in all colours and styles, they now do pvc versions for the extra kinky and also do ones with various designs embroidered onto them such as flames and skulls etc.Not to be stereotyped they are in a class of their own with their uniqueness and wearability. They are indestructable and when you have them on...you feel like it too-lol. Comfy to walk in...and i walk alot- they will take on any surfaces. No fiddly laces-they have them for show but most pairs either buckle or zip up.They are the ultimate and only pair of boots you will ever need and if big and chunky isnt your thing then they now do a more ladylike and elegant version, from cowboy style to kinky boots! There is something for everyone!
The only downside besides the price is that they are very heavy and if you had dainty legs when you started, walking round in these everyday will give your calves a real workout,on average a boot weighs a few pounds!A few days though and you're used to it.Once you have them you will wonder what you did without them. These are deffiitely a must!
One of my favorite things...
I've had my New Rocks for a few years now, not that you can really tell...Ok they're somewhat scuffed and always in need of a clean but a better pair of boots I have yet to find and after 4 years wear those chunky soles are hardly worn down at all...and believe me they've had some wear.
Depending on your lifestyle and the social circles you choose to revolve in you may not have come across New Rocks weird and wonderful boots, as they're generally not to be found in your local shoe shop...I bought mine at a rally for the painful sum of £125 from the nice lady at the New Rock stall, I can honestly say they're worth every penny.
New Rock's produce built-to-last boots, with a Goth/Rock/Fetish twist made in Spain. Many designs and many Beautiful Boots are available featuring an assortment of designs, raised leather and different colours, flames, skulls and general funky looking stuff. Plus many metal bits to the toes and sole plus spikes and buckles a plenty.
There's lots of styles to choose from from trainer style platforms to cowboy style, super high platforms to thigh high shiny scary pointy vamp fetish goddess-wear. Most importantly these boots are fantastic quality !!
Mine are somewhat more practical than the big shiny pointy ones, (sorry to disappoint) I went with a pair of 'Reactor' boots about 11 inches high, with a chunky inch and a half sole. Not forgetting the subtle silvery black raised Flame design to the heel toe and front. They have 4 chunky buckles up the side all bearing the New Rock logo, The laces go through the actual sole and cross over 3 times to the front....However don't despair its all mainly for show - They actually do up with a zip so come on and off easily. More metal to front of sole and bottom...oh and more on front with your big round New Rock Logo.

I wear my boots quite a bit both for going out - pub's / rallies / parties and for the more boring things in life like when the crazy dog demands its daily walk. Look most awesome with a short skirt if that's your thing, good for out on M'bike ( I am the passenger...) and equally good hiding under a pair of combats trudging around a muddy field trying to wear out your furry fiend...sorry friend.
Waterproof, Mud-Proof and have plenty of grip they are excellent boots for wandering around soggy fields in, festivals, rallies, dog walking whatever these always keep your feet dry - even whilst paddling in the sea at Skeggy to wash them off a bit...
The only downside I guess is the weight - mine weigh in at over half a stone...That said I got used to it and these days doesn't really bother me.
My New Rocks have outlasted more pairs of trainers and such than I care to think about and would recommend a pair of 'Rocks to anybody thinking about getting some.

New Rocks Rock. :o)
Thanks for reading,
Can also find me on Ciao with same name.
New Rock boots probably won't appeal to all of you out there. In fact I would say that they are a cult kind of footwear. You won't find these in Barratts or Dolcis!!! New Rocks are specialist boots and shoes aimed at more the rock chick, goth, fetish types. A pair of New Rocks is not cheap, the starting price for trainers is around the £80 mark. If you want a pair you'll probably know where to get them or you'll need to shop around. New Rocks are sold in Schuh but that's possibly the only high street chain that stocks them. New Rock make quality leather footwear in Spain. They are hand stitched and built to last. I have had a pair for 2 years and they look immaculate. Most of the New Rock range have metal and leather as a combination. Some have different colour leather bits added on, for example skulls and flames. Each pair comes with a logo keyring and, where applicable, a spare pair of branded shoelaces. Not much in the way of extras for your moeny but it's better than a kick in the teetch. I have a pair of 107's (image available here http://www.cloggs.co.uk/invt/553). These are calf high boots in black leather. There is a complex lace and buckle arrangement on them but a cunning inside zipper means the laces are mostly decorative. The heel of the boots has purple flames on them and the toe area has a purple skull. The sole is about an inch thick and has a metal plate on the front and back and another on the sole. These boots are made for heavy wear and are very comfortable to wear despite being very heavy - my size 4's are half a stone in weight yet I can wear them all day shopping comfortably. These boots are great in the winter. The deep soles make walking in the snow a piece of cake, they are waterproof, don't leak, keep your feet warm and grip well on ice. I'll admit my boots are very rocker friendly but New Rock have expanded their range to add some more glamou
r to the proceedings. They now offer a range of stiletto boots with a trademark metal heel. These boots come in a myriad of colours and patterns and you have length options, eg calf, knee, thigh etc. These new boots look extremely glam and my credit card is cringing at the thought of them!!! There is also a nice range of cowboy boots with pointy toes and metallic low heels again with all the usual colours and patterns. Fancy a 70's throwback with some KISS style boots? New Rock has it for you. They have a collection of mega platform boots. Some of these have details in the sole including holes drilled through to reveal springs contained in the soles. Again these come in varying leg lenghts and I suspect these are more female oriented than the standard boots! The New Rock website (www.newrock.es) is great as it shows all the models and options available. Unfortunately these boots start at a size 3 so smaller feet will have to go without. Sure these boots are a little kooky and a little pricey but the quality and durability are, in my humble opinion, worth it. Once you know what New Rocks are you'll be spotting them everywhere on TV, in the shops, in films (step forwards the Fast and the Furious to name but one!). One word of warning, though, they are addictive. You own one pair and you are prone to eyeing up the next ones that you want!!!
Several years ago I was looking at a gothic clothing catalogue when I came to the shoe and boot section. There before me were the most gorgeous looking boots I had ever seen.... New Rock Boots. New Rocks are Spanish made, high quality boots popular in the alternative scene. The are available as shoes, low leg boots(Calf high) and high leg boots(above or just below the knee). The prices in the catalogue I saw were fairly high, the cheapest pair being a whopping £150.So,I shut the catalogue and continued to lust over the boots in my dreams. Then, last year I started to use Ebay auctions. One of the first tings I saw for sale was a pair of gorgeous New Rock Boots.OK,they were second hand but at about one third of the usual price they were aa bargain. When I recieved the boots I was very happy. They are both made and lined with leather and have pretty metal trims. The soles are heavy duty and long lasting, and give a real boost to my height. Since then I have purchsed a pair of brand new New Rocks from www.cloggs.com, possibly the cheapest website for these boots. The boots are available in a huge array of designs. Some have flames or even horns(!) on them and others are plain. There are lots of different sole designs and fastenings range from buckles that fasten with velcro,to buckled and laces with an inner zip for speed of removal.Surprisingly the boots are light weight despite the amount of metal and sole on some of them! I cannot stress how well made New Rock Boots are.The pairs I have are in great condition and still look great.I have also found that wearing my platformed soled boots helps to get rid of knee pain that I suffer. I would recommend New Rock Boots if you like the look of them. You won't be original wearing them as many people do now,but you'll be in the company of bands such as Cradle of Filth..I even saw a band on the EuroVision Song Contest wearing them! If yu are prepared to pay full price you&
#39;ll be very satisfied as the boots are highly comfortable and attract many compliments in the streets.
