Advantages: Well made, Quality Boots, Long Life-Span !
Disadvantages: weight .... though not too bad once used to it. Pricey but worth it.
One of my favorite things...
I've had my New Rocks for a few years now, not that you can really tell...Ok they're somewhat scuffed and always in need of a clean but a better pair of boots I have yet to find and after 4 years wear those chunky soles are hardly worn down at all...and believe me they've had some wear.
Depending on your lifestyle and the social circles you choose to revolve in you may not have come across New Rocks weird and wonderful boots, as they're generally not to be found in your local shoe shop...I bought mine at a rally for the painful sum of £125 from the nice lady at the New Rock stall, I can honestly say they're worth every penny.
New Rock's produce built-to-last boots, with a Goth/Rock/Fetish twist made in Spain. Many designs and many Beautiful Boots are available featuring an assortment of designs, raised leather and different colours, flames, skulls and general funky looking stuff. Plus many metal bits to the toes and sole plus spikes and buckles a plenty.
There's lots of styles to choose from from trainer style platforms to cowboy style, super high platforms to thigh high shiny scary pointy vamp fetish goddess-wear. Most importantly these boots are fantastic quality !!
Mine are somewhat more practical than the big shiny pointy ones, (sorry to disappoint) I went with a pair of 'Reactor' boots about 11 inches high, with a chunky inch and a half sole. Not forgetting the subtle silvery black raised Flame design to the heel toe and front. They have 4 chunky buckles up the side all bearing the New Rock logo, The laces go through the actual sole and cross over 3 times to the front....However don't despair its all mainly for show - They actually do up with a zip so come on and off easily. More metal to front of sole and bottom...oh and more on front with your big round New Rock Logo.

I wear my boots quite a bit both for going out - pub's / rallies / parties and for the more boring things in life like when the crazy dog demands its daily walk. Look most awesome with a short skirt if that's your thing, good for out on M'bike ( I am the passenger...) and equally good hiding under a pair of combats trudging around a muddy field trying to wear out your furry fiend...sorry friend.
Waterproof, Mud-Proof and have plenty of grip they are excellent boots for wandering around soggy fields in, festivals, rallies, dog walking whatever these always keep your feet dry - even whilst paddling in the sea at Skeggy to wash them off a bit...
The only downside I guess is the weight - mine weigh in at over half a stone...That said I got used to it and these days doesn't really bother me.
My New Rocks have outlasted more pairs of trainers and such than I care to think about and would recommend a pair of 'Rocks to anybody thinking about getting some.

QuinnElaine - 17.07.08 I have a pair of handmade boots that fit me perfectly... it's like walking around in protective socks lol. I paid about that for them and they are about 10 years old, so finally showing their wear... but once I get the lace repaired, I can still wear them! Don't know if I could get used to the weight for everyday wear, but these do sound a treat. A pair of well-made boots is worth the price. Very informative review!

U wishing you laughter |
