Advantages: Mad prices, good products

Disadvantages: Have to prepare myself mentally before stepping over the threshold!

In the middle of Croydon there is a shop called 'Football Soccer'. Sportswear and casual stuff for the whole family, and absolutely stupid prices!!

The shop is laid in the most unfriendly 'pile 'em high, make it awkward for pushchairs, can't get more than two people queing at the cash desk' style I have ever seen! Of course because of all this it one of the most popular shops in town. Once you squeeze past the crowds of teenagers gathered around the floor to roof display of trainers, and security guards watching every move you are presented with tables of what were neatly folded Umbro, Donnay and Reebok shirts sweatshirts and polo-tops now resembling a jumble sale display.

But don't be put off! Dig for those bargains! Kids Donnay t shirts for £2! Yes £2! Ages 3 - 9 and they are very well fitting, loads of colours from oatmeal to electric blue, lilac, yellow a full rainbow of choice. Donnay is my first choice, they don't shrink - at all - then the polyester training trousers from Umbro £6! Unbelievable! The Umbro football shorts are just as good at £4 loads of choice ot colours.Football socks £1.50 for three pairs, madness.

The adults range is just as good, tops and trousers from £5 to £15 all labels, but I never get that far back in the store because of the queue at the cash desk, and because I 've spent a fortune on the children! When I do get to the till there is a huge range of accessories, you know those string Nike bags ? £3+.

There is an upstairs too but I've never got that far......
