I've always had something against sports stores in general, I've never been big on sport but it's not their products that annoy me. I worked in JJB sports in the summer and I've started to realise why I dislike them so much. To start off with, why are there three JJB sports shops within 5 minutes walk of each other, it's completely unecessary. The worst thing about these shops tends to be their staff. They are all run by teenagers. Sure it's cheap labour but half of them don't care and aren't that helpful. All their shops are the same, they all have similar layouts in the same colours and they all play the same standard radio station, it really gets to you after a while. The worst thing is that every time you go into one of their shops they try to get you to sign up for a store card which is just another credit card you don't really want. To be fair these stores are well organised and it is fairly simple to find anything your looking for in them. The prices are fairly good too on most items however if your looking for specialised equipment your better looking else where. The superstores are also pretty impressive if you like sports stores, you can find most of the things you want in them. I just have a thing about sports stores I guess, I'd be quite happy never to enter one again.
