Snow and Rock Birmingham

I went here because I am about to go skiing and want a new jacket and trousers. The shop is on two floors and has a good range of skiing and cycling gear. There were some pretty good discounts and , considering the time of year , plenty of stuff was left. The service however was appalling. On the ground floor there were five assistants. This was Saturday but the shop was not busy. I must have tried on about 10 jackets and 4 pairs of trousers. No one approached me at any point to see if I wanted any help and I had to ask about a pair of trousers I wanted in a different size. I was told they had none in the shop and , again , I had to ask if I could get them on line. The assistant checked and told me they had plenty. You have guessed it - got home and , on checking , none available. I really liked one , very expensive jacket , and , might , with a bit of persuasion ( and dare I say it , a discount , have purchased. All in all , not good enough in tough economic times.
