Advantages: lots of choice

Disadvantages: could have travel miles

Bristol has loads of supermarkets to many to mention them all. However, what we do have is at least three 24 hrs a day supermarkets. It is brill I love it. It is really nice to be able to go in there after a night out in the pub on a Friday night and grab some munchies.

The biggest is the Asda/Wal-Mart over at Cribbs Causeway. It is open 24 hours a day and is massive. The staff have scooters to race around the store. In addition, they stock everything. And I mean everything. Gel seat for you bike and all sorts of electric goods and camera.

My local Asda is open 24 hours a day and is big. But not that big. It is light and bright and have a very good returns and coupon policy. (see my post about Asda I think that they are brill any way)

As well as all the major ones there a re few Aldi's/Lidl's but they seem to be in run down areas. I think they are no cheaper than buying the budget/economy brands from the local supermarket. I will re-phrase I know that.

Whatever you budget and taste there are plenty to choose from.
