Although the rooms were clean and the food ok...in all honestly the standard of entertainment was poor and the service sub-standard. Whilst we were there, a large group of Dominicans stayed at the resort for one of their bank holidays and litterally trashed the place; the pool was closed for 4 days, the blokes were letchy and all in all they treated the place like a holiday camp, sex in pool, stools floating in pool and what did the hotel management team do to resolve the holiday makers complaints......treated the domincans to a beach party to get them away from us......when we all felt that they had ruined the place, the atmosphere and our holidays; they certainly got ... The hotel is located in the Playa Dorada complex close to Puerto Plata. It has a 3* rating, which in my opinion leaves the hotel much underrated. Accomodation is in the form of chalets, or small maisonette type apartments, the majority of which have a balcony, all rooms have a tv,air conditioning and the usual towels etc. Surprisingly clean and spacious with maid service daily to change towels etc. The hotel operates on an all inclusive basis, with the main dining area, a pizza bar open on an evening and 3 ala carte restaurants in which you can eat several times per week free of charge (the hotel is well run and i found if you werent happy with the food in the ...
