Advantages: Professional, Clean, Beautiful location
Disadvantages: Very hot and humid
I stayed at the Ranweli Village resort in March 2001, and I was very impressed. In the travel brochures it was portrayed as an "average" resort ... but how wrong they were!!
It is located about 45 min north of Colombo, and is isolated between the sea and a lagoon. It is known as an "eco-friendly resort", which was not even mentioned in the brochure - and by this it means that everything is recycled, food is fresh from their own gardens, and the surroundings are amazing as it is in the centre of a nature reserve. They offered nature trips, birdwatching trips .. all manner of things.
The staff were all highly professional and so friendly. The service in all areas was perfect - I don't think you could improve on it. The food was spectacular - with a ridiculous amount of choice every single meal! I recommend the pumpkin curry - absolutely delicious!!
Evening entertainment was low key but nevertheless, interesting!
Accomodation was also impressive with individual bungalows all very close to the sea.
I would highly recommend Ranweli Village for a superb holiday, and I am planning to go back one day as I don't think I will be able to beat it!

I suggest you try to make your ops a bit longer and more detailed (look in the advice section for further help) - this is good for a new writer, but lacks basic details like exactly where the hotel is and how much it costs.
