Advantages: Good ideas
Disadvantages: Task to adventurous for a novice
This is probably the best of the DIY shows, that have taken grip of the country.
Along with show's like DIY SOS, Ground force and Better homes, the country has become obsessed with home improvements.
I can't critize, due to the fact that I am busily decorating my boyfriends house at the moment. But after watching such programmes, he thinks that he can perform just about any task that is demonstrated on the show... ie knocking walls down and replacing with glass blocks.
Don't get me wrong, it'll look great and I think it is a fab idea. It's just that I'm worried that it'll be a bigger task than he thinks, But who am I to question his decision? I'm only the one who will have to help clear up the mess!!!
And don't get me onto power tools.... it's scary. He becomes a man possessed when he has a drill in his hands, no wall is safe!
B&Q has become his second home, and he gets excited at the thought of going to the store. Sad Sad Sad!!! It's like a child in a sweet shop. (love you really)
It wouldn't be quite as bad if he finished the job he started, not do it for a bit get bored then move onto something else.
This show has a lot to answer for!!!!!!
