You must have all seen this particular advertisement, where the car is winding its way through the winding winter roads and the scenery is that of snow covered hillsides (you get the picture). The advertisement is for the Ford Focus, from the little you see of the car it looks quote nice, has all the mod – cons you may need and even some you don’t! They seemed to spend the majority of the advert showing you a moose in the road, which, I’m convinced, is trying to commit suicide! Why else would they show his life running before his eyes ending with a mounted moose head on a plaque? My point in telling you this is, I spent more time considering the Moose, rather than being impressed by the cars road handling! The fact that the driver turns the corner then finds him self confronted with the Moose, which of course he avoids, with the aid of the cars impeccable road handling, anti lock brakes etc. The reason I’m sure the Moose is trying to commit suicide is the way it turns its nose up in a disgruntled snort at the end of the advertisement. If Ford want to sell more of these cars then they need to show more of the car than the scenery and wildlife. If it was a ploy to make you more intrigued because they show you very little of the car then it didn’t work with me.
