Advantages: Sells the product, mildly amusing and novel, nicely directed and shot

Disadvantages: Not a classic ad

I'm a bit neutral on this ad for Stella Artois, as I don't particularly like or dislike it. It sells the product and it's kind of mildly amusing and novel, and that's as much as I can say about it really.
It reminds me a bit of the Renault 'Papa/Nicole' ads, just because it's set in France and has that kind of feel to it.
I love the idea that it's subtitled, I know it's a trivial thing, but for an instant it seems like you're watching a French flick, and it is quite beautifully shot and directed. The colours are nice, and all the characters are expressive. It's a nice short little tale to promote the drink, while keeping in line with the theme that Stella Artois is a priceless product like gold. A good ad, but hardly jaw dropping.
