azana Willie the Wizard's Christmas Shrinkles: ... Christmas fast approaching it s time for the family to indulge in an annual attempt to make something festive and decorative that doesn t look so awful that it could be mistaken for a remnant of Halloween. This is how we came to buy this art item called, I kid you not, "Willie the Wizard s Magic Shrinkles". What on earth is a Shrinkle? If you are old enough to remember the 70 s, there was a craze of...

bex_boo Crayola Oink! Oink! Make Your Own Piggy Bank
... bought this piggy as a joke gift for a friend, and decided to decorate it for her.... I excitedly opened up the pig to find that it is just made from white plaster of paris. The size and shape was fine. It has little ears, and 4 solid legs. There is a small hint of a curly tail on it s bottom too. However, they did not mark where the eyes go. You might think this sounds trivial, but it would be a big help if they did add the eyes for you, or at least lightly mark the shape. A wrong stroke of the brush and you can instantly turn your piggy into looking like an evil creature. The paints they sent in the pack are fine. Not great. Just fine. There are 6 colours. None of ...

Emmald Staedtler Noris Club Jumbo Colour Marker
... very recently I reviewed the Staedler mars plastic eraser and it suddenly came to me that I often use the Staedler jumbo markers too. Staedler have produced these jumbo markers for the younger ones among us ( that means aged 4 upwards!) but I am sure that they don t mind if we find many other uses for them. The Staedler noris jumbo markers are not a cheap option, I paid around £6 for my pack of twelve markers. Very often I have been looking for cheap and cheerful markers and I have resorted to a couple of packets from Poundland only to find that a few weeks later the ink has dried out and the marking pens are useless. I can only imagine that many Mums would hold th...

jensterc Snazaroo Face Paints
... eldest daughter loves having her face painted. Many a time we ve been to various festivals, children s farms and zoo s and she s begged us in her best begging voice to be painted, usually as a butterfly or a monkey. We ve obliged and usually had to dig deep in our pockets, it does seem to really expensive, costing between £3-£4 a pop. For her third birthday, one of her presents from her little buddies was a set of Snazaroo Face Paints. I was really chuffed with this as a present, as I knew we would get hours of fun from them. I had also been told that Snazaroo were the best brand to get as they produced great results that didn t slide of the face within minutes....
