I use a small Asda store for shopping when I am at work and they are great for bargin, as they get items in for different promotions that Asda run they then sell the products off once the promotion ends. Last week when I went into the store they were selling off Peppa Pig products and this set cost me £1 which is a great price for a couple of hours peace in my opinion.
The set is in a hard backed case with a spiral spine, the case is fastened with 2 strong bits of Velcro so can be a little hard to open to begin with but this loosens. On the front of the case you have picture of the main characters Peppa and George pig and the sign to say it is suitable for over 3's.
Inside the case you get a pad with 10 colouring sheets is, a sticker sheet and 5 felt tip pens which I was pleased with for the price, I am going to go back when I am next at work and get 2 for the girls for travelling to our holidays as with everything contained in the case this is ideal for use in the car.
Inside the case the felt tip pens come in a little cardboard box with 5 felt tips written on it and a picture of Peppa and George again, the box is really cute and opened like a normal box of pens or pencils would. The pens are coloured pink, red, green, light blue and dark blue but there is no mention of them being washable so Sophie has been warned to be very careful with them and I will change the pens for pencils for my youngest daughter.
The sticker sheet is in front of the colouring sheets and has 11 stickers on it, there are one each of Mummy and Daddy pig a couple each of George and Peppa pig and then a couple of their friends. The stickers are decent quality, they are pretty thick and the outlines have been cut properly so they are easy to peel off.
The colouring sheets are on pretty thin paper and we have found that the pens go through to the other side so this set would have been better if it had come with pencils rather than pens. The pictures are all drawn in thick black outlines which is good as it means that young children's colouring actually looks a little neater and Sophie has been trying really hard with her colouring in this set so she is well impressed that her pictures look so good. There are a couple of pictures of George and Peppa pig on their own then a couple of the 2 of them together and then some of them with their friends, at the back of the colouring pages there are some sheets of plain paper for your child to draw their own pictures too which I was impressed with.
This set is decent quality apart from the thickness of the paper but if the set was with pencils rather than pens then this wouldn't have been an issue. The set is really cute and ideal for taking with your child if you need to amuse them when you are going out. I give this 4 stars due to the paper issue but like I say i'm gong to buy more of them just a shame they only stock them in one character option.
