They are versatile, sturdy and a bargain!

Fancy wearing something a bit different? Big fan of Fimo? Then this could be the source of some new inspiration.

Ring bases are sold in the Bead Shop, Brighton, or on their online shop Beads Unlimited, at 15p each. You can also buy packs of 50 for £3.95 which makes them just under 8p each.

They are made of strong metal (low in nickel) and are adjustable at the back, so they can fit any size finger (besides the little finger or a child's size). The flat circular base on top means you can make something - anything! - to glue onto the ring, as long as it has a flat enough base to glue it on successfully. If you like cheeseburgers, make a Fimo cheeseburger (that's coloured clay, in case you were wondering, available in art and craft shops). If you like cats, make a little cat's face and glue that on. In some crystal shops you can buy very small, polished pieces of crystals, which can also be glued on, as long as one side is flat enough. (Always use Superglue, as few other glues will be sufficiently strong).

That's all you need to know!
